Shipping:
Canadian customers are subject to PST (BC only) and to GST.
There are no taxes or duties on maps sent out of Canada. Courier/delivery
companies, such as FedEx or UPS often add brokerage charges as part of
their fee. All Customers are charged for shipping and handling by ITM,
varying with destination. Firms need to provide a purchase order,
individuals a Visa or MasterCard number, with expiry date and cardholder
name. Sorry, personal cheques are not accepted unless accompanied by
verifiable credit card information, nor are we able to send out maps
without pre-payment to nonaccount customers. Retailers and libraries
ordering on official letterhead are granted normal trade or academic
discounts.
Discounts:
In Canada, 40% off the Canadian listed price for retailers, 20% for
libraries and non-profit organizations. Outside of Canada, retailers receive
50% off the US listed price, 20% for libraries. Those customers paying by
credit card must do so in Canadian funds as our account is in Canada. Please
contact us for bulk purchase discounts.
Payments:
Account
customers in North America should pay by company cheque. Those invoiced in
US funds pay by US funds, which are deposited in our US bank account and
remain in the USA. Non-account customers need to pre-pay, usually by credit
card or money order. Goods are supplied to account customers on a 30 day
payable basis, with hold provisions coming into effect after 45 days. Credit
limits are reviewed regularly.
Placing Orders:
Our fax line and
online shop operate 24 hours a day; our phone line from 9:00am
to 6:00pm Pacific Time, Monday through Saturday. E-mail is checked twice
daily. Mail is picked up each weekday except holidays and maps are usually
shipped within twenty-four hours of receipt of your order. If the title you
wish is not on this list, please contact us to inquire. We are adding more
titles all the time and have 11,500 atlases, globes, travel guides and maps
in stock in each of our two retail stores, and have access to 25,000 more
titles, covering the world. |
